Welcome to Purple Plow Farm

Purple Plow Farm is a family-owned farm founded in 2022 by the Moses and Roberts families. From the beginning, our approach has been simple: start slow, listen to the land, and build the right infrastructure before asking it to produce.

We believe good farming isn’t rushed. It’s built. Every fence line, water line, shelter, and pasture is part of a long-term plan rooted in regenerative agriculture and deep respect for the soil beneath our boots.

Regenerative farming guides our decisions as we grow. Rather than forcing quick yields, we focus first on rebuilding soil health, increasing biodiversity, and improving natural water cycles. Our goal is to create a resilient system that can support itself over time, one that gets stronger each season instead of depleted.

As we put the foundation in place, we use a mix of regenerative practices such as composting, managed grazing, no-till methods, and land-based design principles that work with nature instead of against it. These practices reduce waste, support natural carbon sequestration, and allow the land to heal as our farm slowly comes online.

We’ve learned that when the soil improves, everything else follows, healthier plants, fewer inputs, and a more balanced ecosystem. For us, farming isn’t about shortcuts or scale at any cost. It’s about patience, stewardship, and leaving the land better than we found it.
